Balayage
in Dubai

Lightening painted freehand: a soft gradient, natural highlights and a root that never gives away regrowth. Expensive-looking, and it grows out beautifully.

What balayage is

Balayage is a freehand colouring technique in which lightener is painted on with a brush, with no foils and no hard lines. The colourist places brightness where the sun would naturally lift it: through the lengths and ends, softly feathered away from the roots.

Unlike classic foil highlights, balayage gives a diffused, blended gradient and a very natural result. The roots stay deeper, so regrowth looks tidy and more time passes between visits.

Who it's for

Balayage suits anyone who wants natural lightening without frequent root touch-ups or a harsh regrowth line. It's ideal if you want to refresh your colour and add dimension but aren't ready to maintain a classic blonde every three or four weeks.

If your base is dark or previously coloured dark, a big lift may need more than one session: only so much can be lightened safely in a single visit. Lightened hair also needs gentle care, and we say so honestly.

Questions & answers

Common questions

Classic highlights are done on foils, start closer to the root and give a more uniform, contrasting pattern. Balayage is painted freehand, keeps the roots deeper and gives a soft, diffused blend, so it looks more natural and grows out more tidily.
One of balayage's big advantages is infrequent maintenance. Every 8–12 weeks is usual, with a toning gloss to refresh in between. The exact interval depends on how light you go.
It depends on your base and hair condition. From a dark or previously coloured base, a dramatic lift is safest across several visits so we protect the hair's health. We'll agree a realistic single-visit result at consultation.
Use a colour-safe shampoo and a regular mask, and a purple shampoo to keep cool tones true. Protect the hair from over-drying with hot tools and from chlorinated pool water, which is especially relevant in Dubai.
