What a Hydrafacial is

A Hydrafacial is a device-led facial that combines cleansing, exfoliation and hydration through a single vortex-technology handpiece. Its spiral tip delivers active solutions while gently drawing debris out of the pores, with no manual squeezing and no trauma to the skin.

Hydrafacial is a trademarked device and protocol, not a generic name for any hydrating facial. A salon either has the machine or it does not. That is worth checking when you compare menus, because similar sounding treatments elsewhere are performed on different equipment and work differently.

The handpiece is the defining part. Where a therapist working by hand has to press and release around a blocked pore, the spiral tip works by vacuum, so pressure on the skin stays low and constant. Cleansing, exfoliation, extraction and hydration all happen as that one tip moves across the face.

The treatment moves through stages: a gentle acid resurfacing, a painless extraction of blackheads and sebum, then an infusion of serums with hyaluronic acid, peptides and antioxidants. Skin looks clearer and fresher straight after the session, with no redness or flaking.

The appointment opens with a consultation rather than the machine. Your specialist assesses skin type, pore condition, dehydration and sensitivity, and sets the peel strength and the choice of serums from what they see. A session that starts with the machine has skipped that step.

Signature is the entry tier on the menu and runs that full sequence. Deluxe and the top tier build on it, while targeted add-ons treat the eye and lip areas, the scalp and the back.

Who it's for

A Hydrafacial suits almost every skin type, sensitive included: the peel strength and serum mix are chosen for you rather than fixed. It is a strong choice for enlarged pores, dullness, dehydration and uneven tone, and works well as an express glow before an event or a shoot.

Because there is no recovery period, it fits an appointment close to something that matters. Make-up and the rest of your day are fine straight afterwards, and there is no flaking or peeling phase to work around.

It is best postponed with active inflammation, an acne or rosacea flare, or broken skin anywhere in the treatment area. For mild breakouts and congested pores the treatment helps clear the pores and even out the skin, but active inflammatory acne is a medical problem and needs a dermatologist first.

If you are already under a dermatologist's care, agree the plan with them before booking: a Hydrafacial complements medical treatment but does not replace it.

Every three to four weeks is the usual rhythm, in step with the skin's renewal cycle. Your specialist sets the exact frequency around your skin's condition and what you are treating.

Common questions

Signature is AED 800 at all three salons, Deluxe AED 1000 and the top tier AED 1300. Targeted add-ons run to AED 400 for Perk eye or lip and AED 1500 for Keravive on the scalp. Prices are listed before VAT, with 5% added to the final bill.
Signature is the entry tier on the menu, AED 800 at all three salons. It runs the full sequence of cleanse and peel, extraction, and serum infusion.
A classic facial often relies on manual extraction, which can traumatise the skin and leave redness. A Hydrafacial is device-led: a vortex tip draws out debris by suction and infuses serums at once, so it is gentler and needs no downtime.
No. Hydrafacial is a specific trademarked device and protocol. Treatments with similar sounding names are performed on other equipment and work differently, so the comparison is worth making before you book on price alone.
Extraction under vacuum is painless: nothing is squeezed, so there is no pinching at a blocked pore. There is no downtime either, and no flaking or peeling phase to work around.
Usually not. Skin may look slightly flushed for a short while, but more often it simply looks fresh and hydrated. Make-up and your normal plans are fine straight after.
A comfortable rhythm is every 3–4 weeks, in step with the skin's renewal cycle. Your specialist will set the exact frequency around your skin's condition and goals.
For mild breakouts and congested pores it helps clear the pores and even out the skin. For active inflammatory acne it is not a treatment: see a dermatologist first and agree the plan.
The appointment should open with someone looking at your skin and deciding the peel strength and the serums from what they see. Extraction should be painless throughout: pinching means too much pressure is being used. Afterwards there should be no redness and no flaking, and sun protection should have gone on before you left.
Partly. Dubai Marina and Palm Jumeirah list Signature Back Clarifying, which runs the treatment on the back, and the Keravive protocol treats the scalp. The face remains the main application.
