The short answer
Nail art is on the menu at all three Unique Persona salons, and each one prices it differently. Downtown Dubai adds ombré, French or glitter as an additional service for AED 60. Dubai Marina sells gel polish with design from AED 180, and Palm Jumeirah at AED 200, AED 240 or AED 280, depending on the grade of the nail master.
Dubai Marina and Palm Jumeirah also price individual nails, at three levels of design. Both have extensions and refills with design built into the price.
What counts as nail art?
The menus name four finishes, and each has a standard meaning:
- French. The free edge of the nail is a different colour from the rest, classically a white tip over a nude or pink base.
- Ombré. One colour fades into another along the length of the nail.
- Rub-in. A fine powder is rubbed into the gel to give a chrome, mirror or pearl finish.
- Glitter. Sparkle in the gel itself or laid over the colour.
Dubai Marina and Palm Jumeirah also price design on single nails, at three levels.

At Palm Jumeirah the three figures are Master, Top Master and Art Director. At Dubai Marina the price rises with an Art Director, and the salon confirms the exact price when you book, as it does for level 1 design at Palm Jumeirah. Prices are before VAT, and 5% is added to the final bill.
How does each salon price design?
Downtown Dubai sells design as an additional service. Ombré, French and glitter are AED 60, booked for thirty minutes on top of the treatment they go with. Gel polish on its own is AED 120, and the Russian manicure with gel polish is AED 275.
Dubai Marina has a creative version of gel polish, which covers ombré, French, rub-in and glitter, from AED 180 against AED 120 for plain gel polish. Single nails are priced at three levels: from AED 15, AED 20 and AED 30 per nail.
Palm Jumeirah prices every design service by the grade of the master. Creative gel polish covers the same four finishes, at AED 200 with a Master, AED 240 with a Top Master and AED 280 with an Art Director. Palm also lists a hard gel with design, from AED 200, and design per nail at three levels: level 2 is AED 15, AED 30 or AED 35, and level 3 AED 25, AED 40 or AED 45.
None of the lists says which designs fall into which per-nail level, so show the master what you have in mind when you book.
How long does it take?
Creative gel polish is booked for an hour at Palm Jumeirah and for an hour to an hour and a half at Dubai Marina. At Downtown Dubai the ombré, French or glitter add-on takes thirty minutes, on top of the treatment it goes with.
Can you have nail art on extensions?
Dubai Marina and Palm Jumeirah list an extension and a refill each in a version with design. At Dubai Marina a nail extension with design is from AED 550 and a refill with design from AED 470. At Palm Jumeirah they are AED 600, AED 730 or AED 870, and AED 520, AED 620 or AED 740. Downtown Dubai lists a nail extension at AED 490 and its design add-on separately, so ask whether the two go together when you book.
