A salon lymphatic massage is a comfort treatment. If you are reading this because of swelling after an operation, fluid retention nobody has explained yet, or a lymphoedema diagnosis, that is a medical question and it belongs with a doctor first.
What is lymphatic drainage massage?
The lymphatic system is a network of vessels and nodes carrying lymph, a clear fluid, around the body alongside the blood supply. Lymph has no central pump. It moves through the squeeze of surrounding muscle, the pressure changes of breathing, and one-way valves inside the vessels.
Manual lymphatic drainage works with that anatomy. The pressure is light, closer to a stretch of the skin than a knead of the muscle underneath, and the strokes run in a set direction toward the nodes.
Training and technique vary between practitioners, and the name on a menu does not tell you what a session contains. Ask at the branch what the appointment involves before you book it.
What does it actually help with?
The word detox is half the name of the menu line, which reads Lymphatic/Detox Massage. It is the name of a treatment, not a claim about one. Clearing waste from the body is the work of the liver and the kidneys, and that does not change with a massage.
Endosphere therapy, a device treatment with lymphatic drainage built into it, is aesthetic rather than medical. It is not a weight-loss procedure and it does not replace the treatment of vascular or lymphatic conditions. Some loss of volume can come from lymphatic drainage, but a lasting result only comes alongside diet and activity.
When it is a question for a doctor, not a salon
Some of the reasons people look up lymphatic drainage are medical ones: swelling that has not gone down after surgery, swelling after lymph nodes were removed, a lymphoedema diagnosis, or fluid retention that has not been explained yet.
If one of those is why you are here, the next step is a doctor rather than a booking page. Only someone who can examine you and knows your history is in a position to say whether massage of any kind is suitable, and there are circumstances where it is not. A salon cannot make that assessment and should not be asked to.

What does lymphatic drainage cost in Dubai?
All three UNIQUE PERSONA salons price a lymphatic massage at AED 500. The wording on the menu differs a little between branches, the price does not.

The menu does not give a session length, so ask at the branch how long the appointment runs.
Is the Hydrafacial Lymphatic Therapy the same thing?
No. Two of the branches carry a second, separate line at a lower price, and the two sit on different menus.
At Dubai Marina it is listed as Lymphatic Therapy and at Palm Jumeirah as Hydrafacial Lymphatic Therapy. Both are AED 400, and at both branches the line sits on the Hydrafacial menu rather than under Body Care. Downtown Dubai does not list it at all.
The placement is the difference. The AED 500 line is a body treatment. The AED 400 line belongs to the Hydrafacial menu, the device facial we covered in what a HydraFacial actually does. What the lymphatic line adds to it is not something the menu spells out, so ask at the branch rather than assuming the two are interchangeable.
Where does endosphere therapy fit?
Endosphere is the lymphatic-adjacent treatment there is most detail on, so it is worth being specific about.
It is a device method built on compressive microvibration. A handpiece fitted with rotating silicone spheres applies rhythmic pressure and vibration to the soft tissue, vessels and lymphatic pathways. Lymphatic drainage is one of the four stages of a session: strokes along the lymphatic flow that help move excess fluid and ease heaviness and puffiness. A session runs sixty minutes, and a course is ten to twelve of them, twice a week, with maintenance afterwards.
What endosphere is not is equally clear. It is aesthetic rather than medical, it does not replace weight loss or the treatment of vascular or lymphatic conditions, and it is not performed during pregnancy, over varicose veins in the area being treated, or with acute inflammation, thrombosis and certain chronic conditions, all reviewed at consultation.
Who should ask before booking?
Endosphere has a published list of limits, quoted above. There is no equivalent list for the manual lymphatic massage, which is a reason to raise things yourself rather than wait to be asked.
Mention pregnancy, any recent surgery, any circulatory or vascular condition, any active infection or inflammation, skin that is broken or healing, and any medication affecting bleeding or healing. If you are not sure whether something is relevant, say it anyway and let the therapist decide what to do with it.
